Building on the success of the community managed church and community centre in Kayonza, supported by RUGO and  St Andrew’s church in London UK, the Kayonza community decided to build a primary school to cater for the needs of the young children in the community.

Funding was provided directly by both RUGO and Llanedyrn Primary School, Cardiff, with strong support from the Kayonza community.

A total of four class rooms have now been built, benefiting over 300 school primary students and a fifth class is being held in the church. In the future it is hoped that a new classroom construction will begin shortly.
